It’s not every day that you get a chance to work with a client quite as intriguing as Art of Vintage. This local Calgary shop sells and rents vintage and retro items. It was my pleasure to bring this mystical shop to life on the screen by creating a promotional video using fundamental lighting techniques, appropriate lenses, and high-quality audio gear. The video was shot using a Canon 80D camera equipped with an 18-135mm lens for all-around shots and a 100mm macro lens for extreme close-ups. The Rode NTG-3 Shotgun Mic was used to record all the vocal audio featured in the film. A subtle implementation of custom-made motion graphics placed the cherry on top. The main goal of producing a promotional video is to get people interested in the business or message you are promoting. I believe getting the audience to feel connected to the business and owner can be achieved by presenting it in a very organic, emotional, and personal way.
